Former Clair Obscur Expedition 33 animator joins The Witcher 4 team
Since its announcement, The Witcher 4 has shown that it will require a lot of hard work from CD Projekt Red.
Recently, the Polish studio hired Felix Pedulla, who previously worked at Larian Studios and was responsible for Baldur’s Gate 3, to strengthen the development team for the new game in The Witcher franchise. Now, CD Projekt Red has added another big name to the team, coming directly from the 2025 GOTY nominee.
The Witcher 4 adds another big name to the team.
The company recruited none other than Lucie Hennet, the animator responsible for the cinematics of Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
The news was discovered through the developer’s LinkedIn profile . According to the page, Hennet moved from France to CD Projekt Red’s office in Warsaw, Poland, to join The Witcher 4 team as a cinematic animator.

At Sandfall Interactive, Hennet was responsible for performing the game’s motion capture. His role consisted of refining the facial and body animations of the characters for the cinematics.

Therefore, it is likely that Hennet will work on the animations for the scenes in The Witcher 4, transforming the data captured by the actors into emotive scenes, ensuring the detail and realism that make the final result impressive.
Unfortunately, The Witcher 4 does not yet have a release date. However, development is in full swing, with around 400 developers working on the project.
