According to an Argentinian website, development of The Wolf Among Us 2 has restarted again.
Next year, The Wolf Among Us 2 will celebrate 10 years since its announcement in 2017. However, to this day the game has not been released and seems to be in development hell once again. Now, an Argentinian website claims that production is being done in partnership with an Argentinian studio and could arrive in 2027.
The Wolf Among Us 2 may arrive in 2027, but it has already had another reboot.
In case you don’t remember, The Wolf Among Us 2 was one of Telltale’s most anticipated games, but the company went bankrupt in 2018. However, it was bought in 2019 and resumed old projects, including the game inspired by the Fables comic book.
The title was re-announced in 2019, details were revealed in 2022, and since then, there has been silence. Now, the Argentinian portal Press Over claims to have discovered information that the development of The Wolf Among Us 2 has been restarted from scratch once again and is in co-production with an Argentinian studio.
According to the website Press Over, Telltale visited Argentina at the end of 2025 and chose a partner studio. In the site’s words, development restarted from scratch and the announcement of the “new version” (currently the third or fourth) will be made sometime in 2026, with a projected release in 2027.
All of this, as always, should be treated as a rumor. The Telltale game had updates in 2024 with new images, but it was originally promised for 2023 (and later 2024, when it stopped receiving a release date).
The Wolf Among Us 2 does not yet have an official release date, but according to rumors, it may be in 2027.
